I see you. I see that you are also scared, and one of the reasons for that increase in fear may be because when a white woman is shot at point blank range, we feel shocked and enraged…and this is what our historically marginalized communities have been feeling for centuries. Decade over decade, year over year, day over day, and minute over minute. This terror is not new. 

Protecting our communities requires coordination, shared strategy, and sustainable action.

When the opportunity to take action arises, you rise with it. When you can use your voice, use it. When you can use your video capabilities, use them. When you must stand with humanity, straighten your spine.

If you believed that you are free to choose your own path, what would you leave behind you? If you were given three things to carry forward in your proverbial backpack, what would they be?

We are part of the system of humanity and when we all start to undo ourselves from systems of harm, we widen the way for systems of collective liberation to flow freely. 

The plurality of life can be overwhelming. When we accept there are as many truths as there are people on the planet, the level of absurdity can short circuit the brain quickly.

When you connect to a higher power, that power is for you, for your growth, for your positive contribution to the collective we call humanity. It is well outside the confines of systems of oppression and therefore will not communicate anything that hurts you or others.

Following your soul’s purpose is a way to put cracks into systems of oppression. When you decide addressing old stories, healing traumas, and looking for joy in the darkness, the systems cannot continue to hold against your pure light. 

white supremacy and all its children (patriarchy, homophobia, transphobia, racism, etc.) want to keep you as distant from your strengths brand as possible.

November focused on the human experience of death and dying and how we can create conditions that keep us from unconditional love as we move through grief...or don't.

When we get thoughtful and observant about the affect of these conditions and systems, we can identify and prioritize those that need to be revised or removed. Once revised or removed, it gives us space to learn and grow into our most authentic selves. 

Acceptance isn’t complacency, complicity, or bypassing. True acceptance, as it pertains to the grief cycle means we have worked through one idea, one aspect, one wisp of a death through to  a place of rest.
